Classic car shows are held all over the world. Many classic car enthusiasts come from all over to see their favorite cars which are showcased at these classic car shows. It is not very difficult to get lost in the cars of old. One can spend hours and even days roaming around a good classic car show reminiscing in the glory of the mean machines of the past. According to The Classic Car Club of America a classic car is one that is a fine or distinctive automobile which has been built between 1925 and 1948. There is no fixed definition of a classic car, but custom coach work, engine specs, power clutch or brakes, and automated lubrication systems help determine whether a car is a classic or not.
Many classic car enthusiasts are of the opinion that a classic can be just about any car you want it to be. Even a recent modern car, such as the 2006 Mustang, with its classic styling, can be considered an instant classic. Similar logic applies to older cars such as the 1968 Road Runner. Many times when a lot of classic car enthusiasts get emotional attachments to their cars, disagreements can arise rather rapidly over definitions that suit them the most. Cars from the '30, cars from the '70s, and maybe even your car can also stand a chance at being a classic to someone.
There are many types of cars which fall under this category. Alfa Romeo, Auburn, Bentley, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Jaguar (car), LaSalle, Lincoln (automobile), Mercedes-Benz, MG (car), Morgan, NSU, Packard, Pierce-Arrow, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Stutz, and Volvo broadly fall into this category when they meet the other criteria for being classic cars. Some of the cars which are popular are Car Coral, Car Canopy (Vehicles from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s), Hot Rods (Racing type cars including Customs, Modified cars, Pro Street and Hot Rods). Other Classic Car Show specialty area’s are the Car Salon. The Car Salon is a place where they showcase cars in a wide price range and Specialty Autos which are priced up to $50,000. A lot of classic car shows have a swap meet and a Classic Flea Market. These are the places where you can find yourself hard to find automobile parts & accessories. Many classic car shows recently also have an antique area for women that come to the show with their classic car show loving companions.
Classic car shows are essentially meant to be a whole lot of fun where a lot of enthusiastic people come together for a common cause. The common cause, of course, being classic cars. Whether you want to have a classic car refurbished, find parts for your classic car, get tips from experts on the subject, buy one for yourself, get one appraised, or just have a picnic doing what you like, a classic car show is the place to be. If you are a classic car lover, make sure you turn up at the next classic car show in your neighborhood. |
